Termulo was born on March 8, , in Bocaue, Bulacan, the third of four children of Benigno Termulo of Bulacan and Ruth Cruz of Bagbag, Bauang, La Union.
Yan, as he is fondly called, is very simple yet promising, vigorous and young at heart.[1] He earned his high school diploma from Pulong Buhangin National High School in Santa Maria, Bulacan.[citation needed]
